Yet, in over a year, there have been ZERO arrests in connection with 7 July. Compare and contrast this figure with the 43 arrests in connection with 21 July, the day on which no bombs went off, nobody was killed and nobody was injured because the 21/7 'bombers' had no bombs.

There may transpire to be nothing untoward about either the ex-SBS link, or the number of white, British converts to Islam that turn up immediately you look at the backgrounds of the Asian men accused of being responsible for 7/7, but it would seem, even to the uninitiated, that ex-Special Boat Services operatives, or individuals who picked up the tag of 'Tartan Taliban' while fighting with the Mujahideen, might have a slightly greater degree of knowledge about things such as explosives than your average teaching assistant in a primary school for children with special needs, or even a teenager with his heart set on obtaining a sports science degree.

b) Yes, it is being ignored, despite much of the basic information having been reported on occasion. Why is it being ignored? Because, as one of the founding fathers of PR and news management, Joseph Goebbels, said:

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

c) Yes, State-sponsored terrorism is by far the most prolific form of terrorism and history has repeatedly proved this to be the case in all but the occasional example of such activities, the end being the justification for the use, by States, of any means necessary.

d) Yes. To instigate and perpetuate a big lie, you need something vaguely tangible on which to base it. 7 July 2005 happened and Muslims are accused of being responsible for it. More restrictions on civil liberties have been imposed on everyone, with more on the way, for the law applies to everyone, terrorist or otherwise, Muslim or otherwise, with everyone subject to being treated as the lowest common denominator when it is quite clear that the majority of the 60-or-so million people in this country - outside of the armed forces and including Muslims - are not, have not been, and will not be terrorists. This fact, however, does not and will not stop such items as ID cards and biometric passports rolling along as per the plans, nor will it stop the tireless march of any other technologies of political control to which we are all being increasingly subjected.

And why? Simply, 'the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie'. You answered most of the questions with your questions, to which I add the points above. Furthermore, who needs to pretend working class Muslim immigrants are terrorists when, apparently, it was four, young, British working class men who were responsible for the events of 7 July 2005, an assertion supported by the 'evidence' of just one CCTV image, outside Luton station, in which three of the four faces cannot be identified?

It would be difficult to argue cogently that Muslims are not being persecuted at each and every turn, in much the same way as the Jews were persecuted and rounded-up by the State in 1930s Germany, and we all know roughly what followed there with the advent of Nazi concentration camps and forced labour camps. The Antagonisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01459201402366077472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5892105.post-1155594706035959512006-08-14T23:31:00.000+01:002006-08-14T23:31:00.000+01:00I'm a bit thick so join the dots for me. Are you saying that any or all of the following is true

a) there's a lot of ex-military links

b) it's being ignored - why ? ...

c) because the military/intelligence are involved in setting up these 'plots'

d) in order to .. what exactly ? Set up Muslims ? Justify more restrictions on civil liberties / ID cards ? what ?

And why ? After all,the government is still allowing Muslim immigration, paying for various radical sheikhs to attend world conferences etc. It seems to me more that the govts attitude to Islam is more that of a nervous man in a cage with a tiger, hoping not toprovoke him while steadily lunchtime gets nearer.
