Nobody, anywhere in the world, buys the lies about the terrorism of alleged 'Fascists' who allegedly 'hate our freedoms', as told by the world's biggest, provable, Fascists and terrorists, all of whom really do hate our freedoms so much that they will happily legislate them all away at a moments notice.
Even two Co-Chairmen of the 9/11 Commission, Thomas H. Kean and Lee H. Hamilton, don't buy the lies the American State and Administration spun about the 'new Pearl Harbour' that befell America on 11 September 2001, as reported on the Red, White and Blue News of CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight.
Those responsible for the lies should be very afraid indeed. Below is a photograph of what happened to the lying Fascists, who hated our freedoms, when the plebs got their hands on them last time around.
Mario Savio (December 8, 1942 – November 6, 1996) was an American political activist.
In 2004, it was revealed that Mario was the subject of a massive FBI surveillance program even after he left the Free Speech Movement. The FBI trailed Mario Savio for more than a decade after he left UC Berkeley, and bureau officials plotted to "neutralize" him politically, even though there was no evidence he broke any federal law. According to hundreds of pages of FBI files, the bureau:
Collected, without court order, personal information about Savio from schools, telephone companies, utility firms and banks and compiled information about his marriage and divorce.
Monitored his day-to-day activities by using informants planted in political groups, covertly contacting his neighbors, landlords and employers, and having agents pose as professors, journalists and activists to interview him and his wife.
Obtained his tax returns from the Internal Revenue Service in violation of federal rules, mischaracterized him as a threat to the president and arranged for the CIA and foreign intelligence agencies to investigate him when he and his family traveled in Europe.
Put him on an unauthorized list of people to be detained without judicial warrant in event of a national emergency, and designated him as a "Key Activist" whose political activities should be "disrupted" and "neutralized" under the bureau's extralegal counterintelligence program known as COINTELPRO.
Savio's crime was that of a passion for humanity which never fails to antagonise the state into the most extreme forms of illegal and underhand activities.
On 2 December 1964, Savio gave one of the most impassioned speeches you will ever see or hear, a revolutionary address in which he struck at university establishment, wider society at large and which inspired a massive student sit-in that the authorities feared would spread beyond their ability to control it.
"The Sun today calls for disused army camps to be turned into jails to solve the UK'S prison crisis."
Sure enough, Rupert's Rag names a big long list of empty army camps, complete with the odd prison ship, presumably because the soldiers that once inhabited these locations have all died in the service of those that would throw the rest of us into camps, all ready to roll. Of course, this is nothing new on the New Labour Camp known as Prison Ship Britain.
DRAKELOW TUNNELS, WORCS: This 53-acre underground complex at Wolverley, near Kidderminster, is privately owned. There were plans for it to be a job training centre.
RAF NEATISHEAD, NORFOLK: The 40-acre former radar station, due to be sold by the MoD by the end of March 2007, was once set to be turned into a worm farm.
RAF LOCKING, SOMERSET: The 200-acre former Weston-super-Mare training school was closed in 1998 and still no decisions have been made about its future.
RAF COLTISHALL, NORFOLK: The 750-acre base will not close completely until later this year. But operational flying has ended after 66 years, draining £20million from the local economy.
HMS DAEDALUS, LEE-ON-SOLENT: The 483-acre Royal Naval Air Station contains a million square feet of buildings, some currently used by coastguards and police.
RAF ST MAWGAN, CORNWALL: The 840-acre airfield near Newquay was doomed when it was overlooked in 2005 as a future base for the Joint Combat Aircraft.
CULTYBRAGGAN CAMP, PERTHSHIRE: The 64-acre base is a former prisoner of war camp and SAS training centre. Its 1940s Nissen huts were in use until 2004.
RAF WEST RAYHAM, NORFOLK: The 684-acre site, which closed a decade ago, was recently acquired by a consortium in a multi-million pound deal, but no plans have been submitted.
RAF THROCKMORTON, WORCS: The 150-acre former airfield, which was owned by the MoD, was considered for use as an asylum seekers’ centre during 2002. It is still derelict.
RAF NEWTON, NOTTS: The Government failed to get permission to use this 560-acre site for an accommodation centre for asylum-seekers.
RAF SEALAND, FLINTSHIRE: The 400-acre base, a civil airfield until taken over in 1916, closed amid defence cost-cutting in 2004.
RAF BICESTER, OXON: The 580-acre site was the only one of four ex-bases given the go-ahead as a centre for asylum-seekers in 2004. Some £24million was spent on it until plans changed.
RAF YATESBURY, WILTS: The former home of a Radar and Wireless training school in Marlborough has lain derelict for more than 40 years.
CONNAUGHT BARRACKS, KENT: The last 85 soldiers left the 80 acre-site in April. The Parachute Regiment’s departure ended 1,000 years of Dover being a stronghold protecting Britain from invasion.
BROUGHTON MOOR, CUMBRIA: The vast 1,740-acre site was earmarked in 2004 as the venue for the UK’s first endurance sports village. But the £80million scheme has stalled.
RAF HULLAVINGTON, WILTS: This vast Chippenham site has not been fully operational since 1965 and is now only partly used by the Army for glider training.
Elsewhere in the Sun, brown-skinned Muslims appear as eager as the Jews of Nazi Germany were to queue up for racial profiling and be thrown into Labour Camps, for their own good, of course:
LILU is 33, prays five times a day and loves Britain. But the father of three, who works for The Sun as an editorial assistant, says he has never met any extremists preaching jihad in Britain’s mosques. He says:
“I don’t have a problem with profiling. I have never been stopped and searched by the police and I have never been stopped at an airport. I try to avoid trouble. But if they had a policy of extra searches on some Muslims I wouldn’t worry because I don’t have anything to hide.
Lilu, who goes by the nickname Naz, was born in Bangladesh and moved to England when he was eight. He lives in Southend, Essex, and is a Liverpool and England footie fan.
It looks like Lilu's job with the myopic Murdoch Media Empire is safe for at least another few weeks.
If the government won't go the huge expense and diversion of resources that they have repeatedly claimed a full, independent public inquiry into the events of 7th July 2005 would be, surely they'll jump at the chance to avoid any such inquiry and choose instead to RELEASE THE EVIDENCE with suitable haste?
Sign the petition and tell everyone you know to do the same.
On 11 May 2006 the Home Office published the 'Report of the Official Account of the Bombings in London on 7th July 2005'.
The official report has since been discredited owing to a factual inaccuracy, namely the departure time of the train the accused are alleged to have taken from Luton to Kings Cross. This error was announced to Parliament by the Home Secretary on 11 July 2006.
To date, only one piece of evidence has been placed in the public domain showing all four suspects - a single CCTV image, outside Luton station, in which three of the faces are unidentifiable.
No credible explanation has ever been given for the lack of CCTV footage from Luton and Kings Cross stations, despite there being numerous references to CCTV in the official report.
In the absence of a truly independent public inquiry, outside of the Inquiries Act 2005, we call on the British Government to RELEASE THE EVIDENCE that conclusively proves the official report beyond reasonable doubt.
Following a couple of recent comment pieces in the dead-tree organ known as the Independent, pieces which consisted entirely of transparent sideswipes at bloggers who are capable of doing to the same degree - and often-times to a much higher degree, for free - what dead-tree columnists do for vast sums of cash, argument from the UK blog world soon came in the form of this, this and this.
Were such nonsense true, newspapers wouldn't be trying to turn themselves into blogs and a whole world of wonderment could be entered imagining the reasons why dead-tree columnists would feel such a compelling need to dedicate their valuable column inches to hammering home a point that, by their own 'better-than-bloggers-because-we're-paid-to-do-it' judgement, didn't need making.
Rubbish collection industrial action Friday 4 August 2006
Staff from refuse collection contractor, Accord, are still taking industrial action. The dispute is a matter for the contractor to resolve with its staff. The company is still contractually obliged to provide waste collection services and has assured us that they will continue to operate their contingency plans. We apologise to residents for any inconvenience that this action is causing but would like to reassure residents that we are closely monitoring the situation to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.
Rubbish is being left to rot in Haringey's streets after refuse collectors walked out, over a week ago, in protest about their working arrangements.
A Haringey resident interviewed on LBC News Radio in the small hours of this morning explained that rubbish collections are still occurring from outside business premises while large dumps of vermin and disease infested rubbish are rotting away, in the height of summer and children's school holidays, on council estates and in other residential areas throughout the borough.
One more time with feeling, "The dispute is a matter for the contractor to resolve with its staff". So claims Haringey Council. Yet, if The Antagonist isn't much mistaken, it is Haringey Council to whom residents of Haringey pay their Council Taxes and it is Haringey Council whom Haringey Council Tax payers should rightly expect to organise the collection of their refuse.
Haringey residents have tried a number of methods to work around the dispute, including asking the council to provide vehicles that they can use to collect and dump the amassed stockpiles of rubbish. Thus far, residents efforts have been thwarted by the council who refuse to provide any assistance in resolving an issue it believes is the sole problem of the company contracted to fufill these obligations.
"The dispute is a matter for the contractor to resolve with its staff"
In fact, the dispute is a matter for the residents of Haringey to resolve with its council, the body proactively refusing to help residents to help themselves and further compounding what is already an environmental and health and safety crisis.
With the application of a little thought, this presents no great problem and can easily be resolved. The resolution to Haringey residents' refuse collection problems is simply that they need cut out the middle-men who have no interest in meeting their demands, namely the private firm, Accord, and the Council who accepts no responsibility for outsourcing refuse collection to that private firm which has no other interest than its own private profit.
Haringey Council spends £13M a year on refuse collection alone. This figure rises to nearer £50M, if similar and related services such as environmental health and recreation are factored into the equation.
"In order to globalise resistance, you must first localise it"
If the residents of Haringey refused to pay the portions of their council tax levied for the purposes of refuse collection and disposal, and all associated environmental services, choosing instead to use that funding to employ local borough workers, so sick to the back teeth of being held hostage by private companies at every turn, and that are sufficiently motivated to do something constructive about the problem that won't go away unless each and every one of us actively does our bit to make it go away, the problems they are experiencing with refuse collection would vanish almost instantly.
With between £13 and £50M in the kitty, a few hired vehicles, complete with HGV drivers, labourers and anyone fit, healthy and pissed-off enough to dig themselves out of the rat-infested pits in which their council has left them to fester, all at the behest of nothing more than the private profit of faceless shareholders with whom they would otherwise have no connection, and Haringey residents need never again worry about finding themselves living in piles of their own rat-infested rubbish.
Furthermore, once the need is eliminated to meet projected private profit demands of shareholders in an organisation over which residents can affect no useful change, not only would the current refuse collection predicament be resolved but, without doubt, borough residents would also be left with significant sums of cash with which they can then set about rebuilding their community that, like all others that once existed, has all but been eradicated by the introduction of limitless private profit at the infinite expense of public services and public well-being.
The Antagonist remembers well the good old days of political turmoil when it was not unknown for activists to storm live news broadcasts in order to draw attention to causes that would otherwise receive no attention. Newly be-bearded Respect MP for Bethnal Green George Galloway's effort on Sky News, below, is about as close as we've got to anyone taking a stand since Nicholas Witchell sat on a lesbian.
"Have a slightly longer memory than four weeks!"
Meanwhile:
"The Observer has learnt that one senior commander who has been involved in the air attacks in Lebanon has already raised concerns that some of the air force's actions might be considered 'war crimes'.
Yonatan Shapiro, a former Blackhawk helicopter pilot dismissed from reserve duty after signing a 'refusenik' letter in 2004, said he had spoken with Israeli F-16 pilots in recent days and learnt that some had aborted missions because of concerns about the reliability of intelligence information. According to Shapiro, some pilots justified aborting missions out of 'common sense' and in the context of the Israeli Defence Force's moral code of conduct, which says every effort should be made to avoiding harming civilians.
Shapiro said: 'Some pilots told me they have shot at the side of targets because they're afraid people will be there, and they don't trust any more those who give them the coordinates and targets.'"
It is worth noting that the IDF consists largely of conscripts, not people who chose the military as a sensible, lifelong career path. Similarly, the American army is stocked-up with college students who signed-up on the basis that their college tuition fees will be paid if they make it back the United Mistakes of America alive.
Throughout the Middle East, the military industrial complex is waging war on people who have absolutely no choice left but to fight for their lives and land and who have a somewhat greater motivation to win the battle started by the alien invaders of their lands than those who wage that war because they have been conscripted to do so, or because their college fees might be paid.
As Malcolm X correctly pointed out a long time ago in a speech entitled The Ballot or The Bullet, white man cannot win the guerilla wars that he instigates.
The same thing happened in Algeria, in Africa. They didn’t have anything but a rifle. The French had all these highly mechanized instruments of warfare, but they put some guerilla action on, and a -- and a -- and a white man can’t fight a guerilla warfare.
Guerilla action takes heart, takes nerve, and he doesn’t have that.
He’s brave when he’s got tanks. He’s brave when he’s got planes. He’s brave when he’s got bombs. He’s brave when he got a whole lot of company along with him, but you take that little man from Africa and Asia, turn him loose in the woods with a blade, with a blade -- that’s all he needs, all he needs is a blade –- and when the sun comes down -- goes down and it’s dark, it’s even-steven.
Anyone eagerly awaiting news coverage of the London efforts in the Stop War march that took place on Saturday would have been sorely disappointed by the mainstream media's coverage of the event.
Watch this speech given by Rose Gentle of Military Families Against the War to the assembled masses in Parliament Square at the end of the London demonstration on Saturday 5 August 2006 and understand for yourself why there has been no media coverage of the event; for to cover such would be tantamount to heresy and treason of the highest order. Understand also that no longer can innocents abroad be slaughtered without active resistance and opposition against those who commission such atrocities, even from those who have wittingly sacrificed their children to the war OF terror.
Despite what seems to be in the region of 100,000 people turning out at the London protest alone, the setters of the global news agenda decided that the uniting of the disenfranchised unpeople's of the world in their collective global protestations against the murderous rise of Global Fascism at the hands of the International Ruling Class Terrorists who, quite openly and honestly, are doing nothing more than what they say they are doing and protecting 'their way of life', from us, the great unwashed, disenfranchised unpeople's of the world - usually referred to as 'terrorists' - upon whom 'their way of life' is entirely dependant. Well, fuck 'em all, there are billions of us unpeople and now we have the Internet.
Marching Piccadilly: Our number is legion
The march was bigger and louder than the powers that be had anticipated and you can bet your last, worthless, US petro-dollar that the powers that be were both shaken and stirred by events, particularly on one or two notable occasions.
The first of these occasions was, perhaps unsurprisingly, outside the American Embassy when the march came to a complete standstill and the passions, ire and voices of the people raised themselves to levels that could not, and can not, be ignored any longer. The ordinary cops on march patrol duty looked a little non-plussed by it all and so it fell to the blackened-hands of humanity's black-legs and blackened-souls in the black-clad 'special' group of enforcers, who were lying in wait down a side street, to storm protesters and manhandle a group of teenage kids whose only crime was chanting 'Hezbullah, Hezbullah' with more ardent fervour than the 'authorities' would have liked. Curiously enough, mainstream media cameras were on hand to film this incident, although quite where the footage of this altercation is now, is anyone's guess.
The second occasion, again perhaps unsurprisingly, was on Whitehall outside Downing Street where the UK's terrorist-in-chief, Tony Blair, currently resides. Once again, the energies and passions of the crowd raised themselves to levels that could not, and can not, be ignored any longer.
Protecting the UK's Terrorist-in-Chief
Hundreds of children's shoes symbolising the children slaughtered under the guise of Zionist imperialism were thrown over the barriers in the direction of Downing Street, many of them bouncing off the state troopers - who just like Nazi concentration camp guards - were 'only doing their job' and protecting the London property of a mass-murderering war criminal from the mass of humanity that had assembled outside to make its collective voice heard.
The Cenotaph: The Glorious Dead
Outside Downing Street, Rhythms of Resistance provided the background beats to a Die-In that was staged, with dozens of protestors dropping to the ground, many daubed in red dyes, in an enactment of the countless hundreds of innocent children, women and men slaughtered, not just in Lebanon and Palestine, but also in Iraq, Afghanistan and anywhere else in the world upon which the corporate, oligarchal terrorism of the few has visited. The police refrained from removing these individuals from their sit down protest while there was anyone around to watch the proceedings, although the area had successfully been cleared by the time the speeches in Parliament Square came to an end.
Blair Must Go
Also worthy of a mention are a couple of the speeches in Parliament Square, particularly that of Rose Gentle linked above, one of the few working class voices to be heard from any podium. Craig Murray doffed his cap to those assembled with the words, "But I see hope, when I look over this crowd. You can't see yourselves from here, you go on and on back to Trafalgar Square. Every race, every ethnicity, every religion. You are typical of modern Britain and when Lebanon bleeds we bleed for them." Watch Craig in action for yourself, courtesy of Ady Cousins.
People of Britain, America, Israel, the time has come to hold the real terrorists in our own countries, the real, provable International terrorists and war criminals that form the real 'arc of extremism', the real 'axis of evil' to account, to bring each and every one of them to justice, once and for all. If the respective populations of these countries can't sort out the huge mess in their own back yards, what possible hope do any of them have of affecting change in any other country led by mendacious, mass-murderers cut from the same cloth as our own?
US Flag on its way to a burning
Burn baby, burn
Footnote:
Elsewhere, Lord Patel of The Internet queried of the shoes: "now how does Sir Ian Blair deal with this pile of footwear - send in the street cleaners no doubt."
And, sure enough, that is precisely what happened! No sooner had the speeches in Parliament Square ended, in steamed Westminster Council, in the form of a large dustcart and the employees of a private firm, Onyx, to sweep all the children's shoes away. This process, no doubt project-managed to the highest degree to ensure that all traces of the demonstration were removed within the hour, however, was not allowed to pass without incident.
Upon spying yet another State clean-up and cover-up campaign, several members of the public who have yet to have their hearts torn out, became insensed that the shoes representing the children slaughtered by the ZioNazis were being treated as rubbish and took it upon themselves to empty the assembled bags of swept-up shoes back onto the street. Man, woman, child - young and old alike, rallied together as one - some with quite some fervour and a definite antagonistic nature towards the State's operatives - dustman and plod alike, for they are one - to ensure that, for a while longer at least, the children's shoes, unlike the lives of the Arab children that the shoes represented, were saved from that most contemptuous of beasts, State organs on overtime.
Overtime plod ("Stay there as long as you like, that's all I can say. I need some new tyres for my motorcyle, £200 each.") now slightly relieved from their duty of protecting the UK's terrorist-in-chief - instead of tearing down the gates of Downing Street and arresting the lying war criminal who would hang were the Nuremburg trials running today - handled the tense situation very well and ordained that the remaining shoes should be placed at the Cenotaph, conveniently and brilliantly already emblazoned with the chiselled in stone words, "The Glorious Dead", until after all the plebs had gone home when, of course, the shoes could all be binned as per the original plan; plod and street-sweeper get their overtime and everything is back to normal in time for raking in the usual Saturday night west-end profits. By Monday, it's business as usual and Tony won't even have to sneak in the back way.
This is, lest we keep fucking forgetting, the fascistic cancer of capitalist imperialism.

Thanks to freedomfiles who posted this hugely comprehensive set of video links on the J7 forum yesterday, all of which help fill in the background behind the ongoing mass-murdering Zionist land grab in the middle east.
For the idiots that think Anti-Zionism - or, more correctly, the anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist sentiments which drive anti-Zionism - somehow equates to anti-semitism, The Antagonist recommends Neturei Karta, Jews who opposed, refused, and still refuse to recognise the existence or authority of the so-called "State of Israel" and make a point of publicly demonstrating their opposition to what they refer to as "the illegitimate, so-called "State of Israel.
WHAT IS THE NETUREI KARTA?
The group was founded in Jerusalem, Palestine in 1938, splitting off from Agudas Yisroel. Agudas Yisroel was established in 1912 for the purpose of fighting Zionism. Gradually lured by money and honor they sold out to the "Golden-Calf" (see Exodus, XXXII) of Zionism. Those who wanted to maintain their faith and continue the struggle against Zionism, dissociated themselves from Agudas Yisroel and associated parties.
Over the years, a number of Neturei Karta activists and followers settled outside of Palestine. Some of the reasons that these individuals abandoned the country in which they and their families had lived for many generations (having lived there many years prior to the establishment of the illegitimate so-called "State of Israel") include; ideological refusal to live under the illegitimate heretical "Israeli" regime, them being exiled by the Zionist government for their insistence of remaining independent of the illegitimate heretical regime or them being unable to live a normal family life due to them and their families being persistently harassed, repeatedly incarcerated and many times even physically tortured by the Zionist police and agents.
....
Neturei Karta oppose the so-called "State of Israel" not because it operates secularly, but because the entire concept of a sovereign Jewish state is contrary to Jewish Law.
Jews persecuted by Jews? Or Jews persecuted by the same Imperialist, Capitalist Zionists that persecute the Palestinians, the Lebanese and any other poor unpeople that stand in their way?

Video resources on the Israeli war against Hamas and Hezbullah in Gaza and Lebanon:
Following the Israeli bombing of the Jiyyeh power station, an oil slick ensued. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) report that satellite imagery shows the resulting slick covering 80 km of Lebanese coastline and having reached Syrian waters. The International Maritime Organisation (IMO), estimate that "some 10,000 tonnes escaped and there is potential altogether for up to 35,000 tonnes to be spilt," and note the slick now affects around a third of Lebanon's coastline. The BBC's Richard Black underlines the severity of the incident, suggesting that the bombing may have resulted in as much oil entering the water as during the infamous Exxon Valdez disaster in 1989. "After all in World War II thousands of innocent civilians were also deliberately targeted by superpowers levelling cities with WMD. And there were also resistance groups, only they weren’t called “terrorists” in those days; partisans, maquis or just the resistance, but not terrorists."
What's going on in this crazy world of ours? What's it all about? What is it all about?
Fill in your own blanks..... Want to know why your gas/electricity/water bills are higher than ever before? Want to know why your council tax is higher than ever before? Want to know how and why every single public service has been heisted and hijacked and run into the ground by private firms? Want to know why baker's dozens of passengers can be killed on public transport with nothing more than a slap on the wrist under health and safety regulations for those responsible? Want to know why The State can execute an innocent man and get away with a fine, the tab for which will be picked up by the taxpayers who already paid for the executioners? Want to know what the incessant and ongoing death and destruction in the Middle East is all about? Want know why no amount of council tax, nor road tax, nor fuel tax is considered sufficient taxation by The State to allow you to park outside your own fucking front door without first having been a 'decent, law abiding citizen' once more and having an additional regressive taxation extorted from you, else run the risk of being fined/clamped/towed - probably by a firm associated with NCP - and ultimately thrown in jail - if you haven't followed the ever changing rules of the ever more expensive game? Want to know why there are no pensions for the working classes who gave the best years of their lives, all for a free TV license in their twilight years? Want to know why international war criminals, money launderers and terrorist financiers are all allowed to roam free around the planet in suits and ties, while ordinary working class kids who have fuck-all to look forward to other than the continuation of the misery of their cyclic predicament of getting pissed in bus shelters, are being tagged and prevented from leaving their homes or associating with their families? Want to know why you can buy cigarettes but can't smoke them anywhere without breaking the law? Want to know why 20% of the whole world's CCTV cameras are in the UK and still can't produce any images of all four alleged suicide bombers in London on 7th July 2005? Want to know why go to the expense of ID cards instead of having numbers tattooed on your arm like they did in the old days? Want to know why merely replacing Blair, Bush or any other fake figurehead won't change a thing? Want to know why interest rates have just gone up? Want to know why there are record numbers of bankruptcies, house repossessions and levels of poverty, everywhere?
Feel the pinch? Squat now, while stocks last.
FASCISM What It Is and How To Fight It
What Next? Vital Question for the German Proletariat, 1932
After fascism is victorious, finance capital directly and immediately gathers into its hands, as in a vise of steel, all the organs and institutions of sovereignty, the executive administrative, and educational powers of the state: the entire state apparatus together with the army, the municipalities, the universities, the schools, the press, the trade unions, and the co-operatives. When a state turns fascist, it does not mean only that the forms and methods of government are changed in accordance with the patterns set by Mussolini -- the changes in this sphere ultimately play a minor role -- but it means first of all for the most part that the workers' organizations are annihilated; that the proletariat is reduced to an amorphous state; and that a system of administration is created which penetrates deeply into the masses and which serves to frustrate the independent crystallization of the proletariat. Therein precisely is the gist of fascism....

"The country's biggest force, the Metropolitan police || believe that large sections of the population have become increasingly politicised, and there is a growing sense that the current restrictions on demonstrations are too light." - The Guardian
"The bombers scattered identity and bank cards around the Tube carriages they targeted before placing their rucksacks on the floor and setting off the explosives. || Although they were damaged to some extent, they [the ID and bank cards] did not show the damage that would be expected if they were on the body of the bomber or in the rucksack, suggesting that in each case they had been deliberately separated by some distance from the actual explosion. || The bombers were not wearing the rucksacks at the time of the explosions, but had instead put them down on the floor of the bus and Tube trains." - The Telegraph
"But it [de Menezes execution MPS trial] was nearly derailed after an armed police raid on the home of a juror's ex-boyfriend in the second week of the case, in which the female juror's baby was taken away." - Daily Mail
"It is no exaggeration to say that at the time of the arrest there was not one shred of admissible evidence against Barot. The arrest was perfectly lawful - there were more than sufficient grounds, but in terms of evidence to put before a court, there was nothing. There then began the race against time to retrieve evidence from the mass of computers and other IT equipment that we seized. It was only at the very end of the permitted period of detention that sufficient evidence was found to justify charges. I know that some in the media were sharpening their pencils, and that if we had been unable to bring charges in that case, there would have been a wave of criticism about the arrests. Barot himself of course eventually pleaded guilty last year and received a 40-year sentence." – DAC Peter Clarke
