For those that missed it when it aired, J7: The July 7th Truth Campaign recently featured on Channnel 4 news in a report about a specially commissioned Channel 4 survey which showed that 59% of Muslims don't believe the government has told the whole truth about 7/7. The survey of 500 British Muslims, carried out by GFK NOP, found that nearly a quarter don't believe the four men identified as the London bombers were responsible for the attacks and 52% believe that the British security services have "made up" evidence to convict terrorist suspects.

Note: The CCTV footage shown in the video above, which shows three of the alleged perpetrators of 7/7 outside Luton Station, is in fact taken from 28th June 2005, not from the day of 7/7, as shown by the date-stamp in the top left hand corner of the CCTV footage. This footage has repeatedly and rather disingenuously been used by the media in coverage of stories about 7/7 so, as we approach the second anniversary of 7/7, watch out for this little visual deception in the stories that will no doubt materialise in the forthcoming weeks. No CCTV footage from 7/7 has ever been released, nor have any CCTV images showing all four of the accused actually in London on 7/7. In fact, in the only CCTV image ever released that purports to be from 7/7, three of the faces of the individuals in the CCTV frame are completely unidentifiable. While the Channel 4 News survey focused on beliefs among the Muslim community, the J7 group of independent public researchers is comprised almost entirely of non-Muslims and includes people of all races, colours and creeds indicating that conducting such research among the non-Muslim community would be likely to yield similar results.

Indeed the comments submitted by Channel 4 News viewers who saw the piece would seem to further support this. Darshna Soni’s follow up blog makes the point, “But dozens of you pointed out that it isn’t just British Muslims who question the official narrative.”

A few of the non-Muslim commenters who are also sceptical about the official Home Office version of what happened on 7/7 include:

• "Well done Ch4 and thanks for bringing the survey and a number of important issues to the attention of the British public. Do bear in mind many British non-Muslims also question the official version of 7/7."

• “I am white and middle class, and I also think that the government has not told us the truth about 7/7.”

• "Why don't you ask the same question of non-Muslims? i.e. 'do you trust the authorities and the government?' - you might be surprised by the result, as its not only Muslims who no longer believe the Bliar government."

• “Why only ask Muslims about this? It isn’t only Muslims who believe this.”

• "I am a white female atheist and I don't believe the government has told us the whole truth about the 7/7 bombings. I don't believe the conspiracy theories either. So, for this survey you could also have asked Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and atheists what they thought. I'd be prepared to bet that the answer to the question 'has the government told the truth about 7/7' would be broadly similar in all of those."

• “You need to carry out a survey of non-Muslims - you might get a result that is not all that different.”

• “I think you’ll find the majority of non-Muslims living in Britain would give the same answers.”

• "The government and security services lied about weapons of mass destruction, they lied about the reason for the war, and after the shooting of an innocent man on the tube, more lies were told. Is it any wonder that many Muslims do not believe the government?! So do many non-Muslims."

• "I think you have missed the point somewhat, as it is not only a view commonly held among Muslims but also among many English nationals and people around the world."

• "You will find massive support for the Muslim view, and not just from Muslims."

• “You don’t need to look only at the Muslims community to find people (a) believing in conspiracy surrounding that particular event or (b) feeling let down, manipulated and betrayed by their own government.”

Also worth looking at is the list of over 1300 signatories of the J7 RELEASE THE EVIDENCE Petition which, once again, seems to indicate quite clearly that it isn’t just Muslims who don’t believe the government has told the whole truth about 7/7. In another piece on the Channel 4 web site, Darshna Soni highlights a few of the more egregious errors and inconsistencies in the official Home Office report, something that hasn’t been done since the Guardian article by Mark Honigsbaum which featured J7 (the J7 response to Mark Honigsbaum's article can be read here).

Given the historical and widely accepted history of terrorism on the British mainland, particularly with regard to alleged instances of 'Irish terrorism', it would be unwise not to acknowledge the lessons learned from the cases of the Guildford 4, Birmingham 6, Maguire 7, Danny McNamee and Judith Ward, amongst others. All of these people were convicted of terrorist crimes for politically expedient purposes and served long prison sentences on the basis of State-manufactured evidence and the suppression by the State of evidence that proved their innocence.

The barbaric sentences handed out to five young men in the Crevice trial, based on the evidence of a Supergrass, the likely involvement of at least one intelligence services agent, as well as the use of forced confessions extracted under torture abroad are more recent examples of how similar tactics to those developed in Northern Ireland are now being used against British Muslim subjects, the perceived enemy of the day.

It will be interesting to see if and how Channel 4 follow up the piece.

7/7: Ludicrous Diversion, Ludicrous Charges

It's tough to beat such headlines as, "Military studies in the Jihad against the Tyrants - get your copy and join Kalid Khaliq in the slammer," so The Antagonist won't even try. Not even on the new-look Anything that defies my sense of reason....

The media, in the true nature of the hysteria that is their core business, are proclaiming such things as "Terror suspect charged over 7/7 bombings," when in fact that's not quite the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

What has happened, however, is that Beeston resident Khalid Kaliq, 34, one of the four people rounded for questioning about the events of 7/7 almost two years after it happened has today been charged with, possessing "a document or record, namely the al-Qaida training manual, containing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism" on July 17 2005, according to Scotland Yard.

On July 17th 2005? For one day only? It sounds a little like this one-day-only possession of the CIA Al Qaeda training document, "Military studies in the Jihad against the Tyrants" may have come about during one of the many police raids that took place in Beeston after 7/7, possibly when an agent of the State handed over a copy of the aforementioned "Military studies in the Jihad against the Tyrants" while uttering the words, "Here, son, have you ever seen this before?" A sure-fire way to guarantee possession, fingerprints and DNA evidence proving ownership -- even if for one day only -- of such a document.

The 180-page volume, seized from the Manchester, England home of a bin Laden disciple, offers jihad members guidance on subjects such as assassination, forging documents, and preparing poisons in its 18 chapters. The terrorism manual was placed into evidence last year by prosecutors during the federal trial of four men accused of involvement in the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania (the below English translation was also placed in evidence). All four defendants were convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

The document is published widely in America, of all places, and in English, of all languages, and all 18 chapters are available online at The Smoking Gun and Cryptome for all to read. Free entry to HMG's Belmarsh and possibly even Guantanamo Gulag almost guaranteed.

Update: Khaliq's solicitor Nadeem Afzal denied the offence in court and Khaliq has been released on bail. District Judge Caroline Tubbs adjourned the case to July 2, just so a lot of fuss can be made in the run-up to the second anniversary of 7/7.

Herr Doktor John Reid's making the news in order not to make the news

After deciding that doubling (not 'splitting') Home Office resources was going to take two and half years, a defiant Herr Doktor John Reid announced at the end of January this year, 'I won't quit'. Less than four months later, last Sunday in fact, Herr Doktor Reid of the eternally 'not fit for purpose' Home Office announced that he would resign from the government within weeks, citing a bunch of traditionally lame, pat excuses for his departure.

That, superficially at least, is the beginning and end of the story. Except, as with most things behind the mendacious, mass-murdering State -- currently continuing to be led by Tony Blair, who should have been hung for his war crimes a long time ago and who still hasn't fucked off even after delivering a speech of which Adolf Hitler himself would have been proud -- there's always at least one story behind the story that makes its way into the headlines.

So what is the real story as Herr Doktor John Reid slips out of the Home Office after doubling it into the Department of Constitutional Affairs and a Ministry of Justice?

Justice, as anyone with any experience of the State's rule of law that purports to deliver it, is not something that is meted out very often, if at all. Just ask Harry Roberts (11 years in jail without charge or even knowing why he's still being held) or, if your memory doesn't stretch that far back, Dhiren Barot or the Crevice 5 who themselves have just joined the ranks of the Guildford 4, Birmingham 6, Maguire 7 amongst many, many others. See here and here. There is, however, a major difference between the alleged Irish terrorists that weren't and the alleged Muslim terrorists that weren't. Ignoring for a moment the travesties and miscarriages of justice they represent, at least with the Birmingham 6, Guildford 4, Maguire 7, and various other alleged Irish terrorists who were entirely innocent of the charges against them, crimes had been committed for which somebody had been charged. That real terrorist crimes had been committed for which innocent people were jailed should, although doesn't very often, lead to the asking of the question: If those charged, tried, convicted and jailed for real terrorist crimes that happened weren't the people responsible, where are the true perpetrators of those attacks?

Maybe someone should ask the new Head of MI5, Jonathan Evans, or maybe even Sir John Stevens under whose watch the Crevice 7 were watched and arrested and who said it was a case of "when not if" London was attacked by terrorists.

The crime of the 'new normal' is that of Thought Crime so you best all get a thinking cap on your head while its still free from 7 bullets.

But back to the point of this post which was the real story, a mini-scandal in the making, behind Herr Doktor Reid's resignation, the story that you won't read about Reid in many places, no doubt because all the dead-trees are observing voluntary D-notices about the matter. What might it be? Here's the story, in full, just in case it disappears from its source, as such things have a habit of doing:

John Reid’s nephew is fined over weapons

THE teenage nephew of Home Secretary John Reid has walked free from court after being convicted of possessing two deadly weapons in public.

John McGowan had been caught by police concealing a telescopic metal baton and a craft knife.

The 18-year-old from Airdrie, Lanarkshire, stood timidly in the dock at the town's sheriff court as he was fined a total of £400.

McGowan, an apprentice joiner, of "Kinkell", Drumbathie Road, was stopped and searched by police following an incident in Hallcraig Street, Airdrie, last month.

Fiscal Depute Agnes Meek told the court how McGowan had been attending an 18th birthday bash in the nearby Caritas Club.

The prosecutor said there had been "trouble" at the party on April 15 - which didn't involve McGowan - that was serious enough for the police to be called.

McGowan was one of several people searched by uniformed officers in Hallcraig Street and was found to be concealing the baton in his sock.

When they searched his car they found the knife, which had a blade attached.

The court also heard McGowan, whose father is a company director and one of his sisters a law student, was a first offender.

McGowan had pleaded guilty to both offences when he appeared at the custody court the day after the party.

At that appearance Sheriff Carole Cunningham had released him on bail.

But she also called for a social enquiry report, as well as a community service assessment and a restriction of liberty order assessment on the youth.

Defence lawyer Con McAfee told the court McGowan had found the baton in the car park, and that the knife was a tool for repair work he'd been doing.

He said: "He had been doing some work for his grandmother earlier in the evening, repairing her bath. He forgot he still had the knife with him."

Yesterday Sheriff John C Morris fined McGowan £300 for possession of the baton and a further £100 for possession of the craft knife. He was ordered to pay the total fine at £20 per week.

The irony that the Home Secretary, who has made one of his core businesses imposing control orders and ASBOs on ordinary members of the general public, can't even keep his own fucking family in order, is not lost on anyone.

Operation Crevice trial ends and the cracks are showing

Below is a transcript of Imran Khan's statement on behalf of the 5 (of 7) patsies men convicted in the Crevice trial:

I'm giving this statement on behalf of those defendants convicted today, that is Omar Khyam, Anthony Garcia, Waheed Mahmood, Jawad Akbar, and Salahuddin Amin. These are their words that they wish me to read out:

In the name of Allah the merciful, the compassionate, we bear witness there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, and Mohammed as his messenger.

This was a prosecution driven by the security services, able to hide behind a cloak of secrecy, and eager to obtain ever greater resources and power to encroach on individual rights.

There was no limit to the money, resources and underhand strategies that were used to secure convictions in this case.

This case was brought in an atmosphere of hostility against Muslims, at home, and abroad. One stoked by this government throughout the course of this case.

This prosecution involved extensive intrusion upon personal lives, not only ours, but our families and friends.

Coached witnesses were brought forward. Forced confessions were gained through illegal detention, and torture abroad. Threats and intimidation was used to hamper the truth. All with the trial judge seemingly intent to assist the prosecution almost every step of the way.

These were just some of the means used in the desperate effort to convict. Anyone looking impartially at the evidence would realise that there was no conspiracy to cause explosions in the UK, and that we did not pose any threat to the security of this country.

It is not an offence to be young, Muslim and angry at the global injustices against Muslims.

Allah says in the Qur'an, "Oh mankind, worship your Lord who created you, and those before you, that you may become righteous."

Those who are more than a little predictably getting all het-up and excited about the revelations-that-aren't of the Crevice trial wouldn't go amiss peering a little deeper into the Crevice before calling for a Public Inquiry into the events of 7th July 2005. They would also do well to understand the -- restrictive-to-the-point-of-futility -- legislative framework the State imposed on public inquiries via the Inquiries Act 2005, a piece of legislation that was affectionately known as the "Public Inquiries Cover-up Bill" and which came into force on 7/6/2005, just in the nick of time. In summary, any Independent Public Inquiry is legally obliged to be neither 'independent', nor 'public' and the scope of its inquiry is determined by the very State into whose self-preserving interests a truly independent public inquiry would legitimately inquire. Simple enough?

As a point of fact, the July 7th Truth Campaign is the only grass-roots organisation to echo the sentiments of the Law Society of England & Wales, Amnesty International and Geraldine Finucane in calling on the judiciary to boycott any inquiry proposed under the terms of the Inquiries Act 2005. If the Inquiries Act 2005 is not fit for the purpose of investigating the killing of a Human Rights lawyer almost 20 years ago, it is most certainly not an acceptable piece of legislation under which to conduct an inquiry into the deaths of 56 people. Sign the petition.

Panorama is to be commended, for once, for venturing close to the brink of of the gaping Crevice chasm, but not for hiding the brief jaunt away among the usual old tosh that passes for investigative journalism these days. In addition to the litany of crimes referred to in Imran Khan's statement on behalf of the five men convicted of having comitted no crime, the State was forced to resort to relying on the testimony of an FBI informant, having the rules of the game of law changed and abandoning all notions of a unanimous verdict.

Desperate times, it seems, call for even more desperate measures and the precedents continue to be set. If it's 'justice' you want, you're increasingly unlikely to get it under a system of 'law'.

Former British soldiers taught Abu Hamza's followers to use guns at a camp in Wales as part of an ad hoc terror training network set up by the jailed cleric, according to US intelligence agencies.

But the British security services were either unconcerned or ignorant about Hamza's activities, despite warnings that he was considered a risk from foreign governments and intelligence agencies as early as 1995.

Ex-British soldiers have been training up followers of Abu Hamza and we are all meant to believe that the British government was either 'ignorant' or 'unconcerned' that these ex-British soldiers - the Queen's finest white-water-rafters no doubt - were training the followers of someone who has for so long apparently been a thorn in the side of the state.

'Ignorant'? No chance. We're all under surveillance now.

'Unconcerned'? Of course, for it serves a very definite purpose to have an insignificant army of 'mad-mullah' followers, all trained to the highest standard by imperialism's ex-finest, in the event that one should ever need to create and assert the illusion, ad nauseam, that extremist Muslim terrorists have infiltrated quaint-old, rural-old, British country life.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince people he didn't exist. Oh, the sweet power of propaganda marketing and spin.

The news that ex-British army soldiers are involved in training the followers of Abu Hamza broke on the day that we could all happily watch footage of more of the Queen's finest rounding up, kicking and beating the shit out of defenceless Iraqi children while others of the Queen's finest look on, film proceedings for posterity and shout in delight. Now that's what I call terrorism!

It's time to for everyone to wake up.

The utterly pathetic and totally shameful British press and media whose coverage of July 7th is an insult to the dead, the injured, their families and all the rest of us would perhaps be better employed not espousing the finer points of 'feminist pole dancing', but instead dedicating a little time to investigating the activities of a few more ex-British army, ex-British special forces and ex-British anti-terrorist operatives, some of whom have apparently now eschewed all that defence of the realm nonsense, 'converted' to Islam, grown suitably long beards and ingratiated themselves into otherwise tightly knit and entirely peaceful Muslim communities around the country.

Remember the Hamara Youth Access Project (HYAP), set-up with around a million pounds of government money and from which the mosque opposite warned Muslims to stay away?

Remember the Iqra bookshop set-up with monies from the HYAP and run by Mohammad Tafazal, along with ex-special forces, ex-anti-terrorist operative and white, British Islam-convert Martin 'Abdullah' McDaid?

Remember the Fiaz brothers, especially Naveed, the fellow HYAP pioneer who was originally suspected to be one of the suicide bombers on July 7th?

Remember the man labelled the 'Tartan Taliban', one James McClintock, a Scot and white, British Islam-convert widely known to have fought with the Mujahedeen, also known by his Islamic handle, Mohammed Yacoub?

Remember Samantha Lewthwaite, the white, British convert to Islam, who met Germaine Lindsay (himself a convert to Islam) on the Internet, married him just minutes after meeting him in October 2002, and whose father is an ex-military man who served in Northern Ireland?

Remember the MI6 plan to win over the hearts and minds of muslims by infiltrating their communities?

No, of course you don't remember any of these things, because all of these things have been confined to the same July 7th memory hole as the driver of a second affected Piccadilly line train.

Here's a snippet from a letter about the infiltration of Islam plans which perhaps reveals the real reasons behind why the British media refuse to investigate ex-army, ex-special forces and ex-anti-terrorist operatives that crop up the minute you start researching the alleged suicide bombers on July 7th:

"Dealing with Islamist extremism, the messages are more complex, the constituencies we would aim at are more difficult to identify, and greater damage could be done to the overall effort if links back to UK or US sources were revealed."

All of which goes to prove that you can be known as Abdullah, or Mohammed, but a new name, a new beard and a lot of government funding does not a true or convincing Muslim make, especially if you're not of ethnic origin.

Propaganda: It's only subliminal if you don't notice it

It was always going to be fairly unlikely that The Antagonist would let the seven month anniversary of the horrific events in London on the seventh day of the seventh month of 2005 (curiously, in numerology terms, also a seven (5 + 2 = 7)) pass without comment, but it very nearly happened. Only very nearly though, for seven months ago today was July 7th 2005, 7/7, the day when seven (7) explosions on London's transport system were reported and in which 52 (seven) were killed and 700 (seven) were injured, and understanding precisely what happened that day is becoming increasingly more important.

In the run up to the seven month anniversary of these events a number of seemingly unrelated but rather interesting things have happened.

First up there's the re-publication by an organ (the same organ that refused to run drawings lampooning Jesus H. Christ in April 2003) in Denmark (staunch U.S. supporters in Iraq) of some 'cartoons' that have, somewhat unsurprisingly given their content, upset the Muslim world for the various implicit suggestions contained there-in about the nature and essence of Islam. 'Re-publication', of course, being the operative word as the 'cartoons' were first published last September but nobody much saw fit to care back then.

The touchpaper was lit, all that was left to do was stand back and watch, even in London.

Notice the interesting backdrop to the 'protest'. Below is the same young man before he entered stage left, complete with much the same 'protest' backdrop.

Turns out this is none other than Omar Khayam, 22, of Bedford and he's a convicted crack dealer who was jailed in 2002 and released on licence last year, giving him plenty of time to rehearse his suicide bomber role as shown above and having served half his sentence. Khyam was allowed to stand behind the police van in full apparel, waiting for his cue, and then carry out his 'protest' with the protection of a police van behind him. At no stage in proceedings did the police interfere with his 'protest' and, just as quickly as he appeared, Omar Khyam has been removed from circulation slung back in jail to finish his sentence, but not before being allowed to publicly refuse to apologise and then publicly apologise for his actions.

Seven months on from seven-seven and Abu Hamza Al Masri is convicted of incitment to racial hatred and given a seven (yes, that number again) year term shortly after the BNP's Nick Griffin isn't convicted for anything at all and a hardcore bunch of around 20 Al Guraba 'hardcore' Islamic fundamentalists waving the same bunch of placards appear to have turned up for several days of 'protests' in London from which real Muslims have actively walked away.

Getting the picture yet?

But that's not all. The cream of the crop must be this little gem, aired by the BBC as part of last night's Newsnight coverage of the republication of the 'cartoons', the backlash against them and the bizarre appearance of the only Islamic-fundamentalist convicted of crack-dealing that The Antagonist has ever heard of.

The images below are exactly as captured from the Newsnight report last night which includes subtitles to ensure everyone gets the full six-sense propaganda experience. The voice-over rolls with: "Despite placards threatening death to those who oppose their views, when the driver of a van stopped to angrily criticise the demonstrators, a policeman took a hardline stance. "

The first words of the policeman to white-van man as the camera makes its way to the scene are, "Listen to me, listen to me. They have a right to protest, you let them do it...."

The rest of the dialog beggars belief.

London 7/7: The Dummy Dummy-Run

The 'dummy run' of the London bombers

"Two bottles of peroxide explosive encased in nails were found in a bag under the front passenger seat of a silver Nissan Micra which three of the bombers had used to travel to Luton on the day of the attacks."

Red Micra, silver Micra, whatever, eh? It was only a terrorist attack on London, right? What do facts matter?

They could have released CCTV footage from 7 July and ended all the speculation and debate in one fell swoop but no, nearly three months, 3,000 plus witness statements and 80,000 CCTV tapes later, out floats a bit of footage of a shopping trip to London of just three of the alleged 7 July bombers.

Why hasn't footage from 7 July been released? Does it exist? If it does exist why isn't it being released? If it doesn't exist, why not?

Who is the alleged fourth bomber missing from the Dummy Dummy-Run? Of course, none other than the alleged bus bomber, Hasib Hussain.

We are told of the meticulous level of detail and planning that went into organising 7 July yet the only similarity between the Dummy Dummy-Run journey and the alleged journey of the alleged bombers on 7 July is the fact that the alleged bombers travelled by Thameslink train from Luton to Kings Cross.

The BBC reports the main points of the Dummy Dummy-Run as:

• Sidique Khan and Tanweer meet Lindsay at Luton station around 0810 BST
• The trio buy tickets and catch a train to King's Cross
• The men arrive at King's Cross at 0855 BST and are also seen at Baker Street at midday
• The bombers leave King's Cross at 1250 BST and arrive back in Luton at 1340 BST

In the Dummy Dummy-Run the alleged bombers met at 8:10am at Luton Thameslink station so they obviously weren't meticulously rehearsing the catching of the 7:40am train that we are told they caught on 7 July. i.e. the same 7.40am train from Luton a) didn't run on the morning of 7 July and, b) couldn't have got them to Kings Cross in time to catch any of the trains affected that morning.

In the Dummy Dummy-Run the alleged bombers arrived at Kings Cross Thameslink at 8:55am, five minutes after the bombs supposedly went off on 7 July so they obviously weren't meticulously rehearsing simultaneous explosions on the Underground trains at precisely 8.50am.

So what exactly were these guys rehearsing? How to catch a random Thameslink train from Luton to Kings Cross perhaps?

No wonder the police are so keen to learn more of the activities of the alleged 7/7 bombers in London on the day of the Dummy Dummy-Run.

The Dummy Dummy-Run is little more than a distraction from the complete lack of evidence relating to the very real and actual events that resulted in the deaths of 56 people on 7 July. Why the big secrecy over evidence from the day itself?

The Antagonist wonders if the police have considered that the alleged bombers might have met up with Peter Power and a Visor Consultants crisis management team for a quick business brunch to go through a few last minute Powerpoint presentations.

Except it's unlikely that anyone might think that because Mr Power is to this day being used by the news media - even in relation to today's incident at Manchester airport - as an independent security consultant that has no special connection with the events of 7 July - and most certainly not a special connection like that of having organised and conducted a 1,000 man security rehearsal operation on the morning of 7 July rehearsing "simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this [7 July] morning" and where "one scenario in particular, was very similar to real time events."

Is it too much to dream of a world where a news channel presenter would take a deep breath and introduce Power with, "I have with me in the studio Mr Peter Power, ex-Scotland Yard anti-terror operative and long time friend of Sir Ian Blair who is now Managing Director of Visor Consultants a crisis management company that was running a 1,000 man anti-terrorist security rehearsal operation in Central London on the morning of 7 July where, by his own admission, he was rehearsing, "simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this [7 July] morning" and where "one scenario in particular, was very similar to real time events". Good morning Mr Power... Mr Power....Mr Power...?"

To some degree, Peter Power was very open with his initial comments aired on Radio 5 on the evening of 7 July when he first revealed that he had been conducting the operation. During the interview he did even sound a little alarmed that the simultaneous bombs of his long planned security rehearsal had actually occurred at the same time he was rehearsing them.

Perhaps this admission on the same day as the devastating events on the Underground was the open acknowledgement of an ex-anti-terror operative of forces at work in the midst of his operation that morning far greater than that of an ex-Scotland Yarder. If outside organisations were involved at that level Power would be powerless to say so and has perhaps encoded his level of involvement with the one highly visible event of that day - the diverted and exploded Number 30 bus - simply by not mentioning it. Power only ever refers to the train incidents in his original Radio 5 interview, never to the exploded bus and while not mentioning the bus Power also tells us in a later written statement that, "one scenario in particular, was very similar to real time events."

As the rumour, speculation and random footage loosely linked to 7 July continues to materialise while evidence from the day itself is either non-existent or highly questionable, still the question must be, "WHO BOMBED LONDON?"

London 7/7: TFL, TrackerNet Images & Evidence Removal

Following on from yesterday's post which included TrackerNet images from 7 July 2005, The Antagonist set about finding the original source of the TrackerNet images in order to link to them directly.

Imagine The Antagonist's surprise (can you feel the irony?) when it turned out that the very same TrackerNet schematics published below, those which are still referred to in the original Transport For London press release from whence they came, had disappeared from the Transport for London Image Gallery.

From the TFL press release:

Six images are available in the News Centre. The first three images show the sequence of train movements prior to and including the explosion at Aldgate. The remaining three show the sequence of train movements prior to and including the explosion at Edgware Road. [TFL]

So, in the true spirit of Freedom of Information, here they are again - still without timestamps because, to the best of The Antagonist's knowledge, we still don't know what time the trains actually left Kings Cross on the morning of 7 July.

7 July: TFL TrackerNet Images & Captions

Some additional information about the TrackerNet schematics:

Using Trakernet, a computerized system that monitors trains on some lines, controllers could see that as Train 204 traveled between Liverpool Street and approached Aldgate, it came to a sudden stop with pink lines on their screens indicating a power surge. [International Herald Tribune]

Pink Lines = Power surge.

The first bomb to detonate was on the Liverpool Street train soon after it left for Aldgate on the Circle line, seconds before the others. The blast tripped out the power system, visible in the control room. [WikiNews]

London 7/7: Blast Train Schematics

Interesting show on BBC1 tonight about derailed trains that The Antagonist is hoping might help make a little sense of the train schematics released for 7 July, as shown below.

An eye-witness to the Number 30 bus explosion in Tavistock square is quoted on the BBC web site:

I reached Euston station by Silverlink county at close to 9am, walked to Euston square tube to find police blocking it. So went back to Euston central again to access Euston underground, cops evacuating there too, saying Liverpool St possible explosion. So took no 59 bus to reach Holborn.

As the bus passed a bit after Tavistock square park, we heard an explosion - something like a big bang , sort of muffled inside a metal container.

We looked back from the upper deck - saw a huge metal scrap thing on the road, with a few fumes coming out, someone was on the road trying to pull something out of it.

All of us panicked and hurried to get out of bus, people losing it completely. I am lucky to be writing this. This was the first time I smelt death so near.

Who on earth would want to be pulling something out of, 'a huge metal scrap thing on the road, with a few fumes coming out,' that had apparently just been involved in an explosion?

Your starters for ten, confer all you like: The 'players' with pale blue shirts, closely cropped hair and easily identifiable brightly-coloured rucksacks, one of whom is rather busy on the phone (blue rucksack, photos 2 and 3, remaining fairly motionless and not overtly helping anyone), and the other of whom can't wait to get in and coordinate the recovery process (yellow rucksack, photos 2 and 3, running, looking around and not overtly helping anyone). Who are all the people on the top deck seemingly undamaged by a blast that blew the back half of the bus and the roof clean off the bus? Who is the person on the top deck making a phone call despite still being on the top deck of a bus that exploded some moments previously? Oh, and lest we forget, Kingstar-the-controlled -demolition-company van is there in all it's glory too.


While you're examining the photos above wondering quite what a real Hydrogen Peroxide explosion might look like, just such a Hydrogen Peroxide explosion occurred on the M25 only a couple of days ago. It looked a little something like this.


Which doesn't look at all similar to this.



If what happened to the lorry in the real Hydrogen Peroxide explosion photo had happened to the Number 30 bus in Tavistock Square on 7 July, The Antagonist suggests that there probably wouldn't be quite so many people left standing on the top deck, or even alive anywhere in the vicinity, much less standing around up there making phone calls.

Anyone care to hazard a guess at who all the non-uniform folk all over the crime scene of a terrorist attack in London might be?


A major terrorist attack in Central London, the exploded bus has been cleared of survivors and injured but there is still no police cordon to be seen. At the stage of the day this photo would have been taken, the whole world had been alerted to the notion of bombs in London but this, apparently, wasn't sufficient reason for the police to establish a cordon around the area to preserve the integrity of any evidence. Then again, maybe that was the point. Or, maybe, the incident response plans Peter Power penned need some further refinement and revision.

Last, but not least.


Who are these people? None of them look like they have just survived a bomb blast, no debris, no blood, no cuts, nothing. The lady in blue to the top right of the first photo seems to be rather amused by something considering a terrorist attack has just occurred. The Antagonist doesn't recall anyone that survived the incidents on the trains looking quite that amused after their ordeals.

The cluster of people in the lower photo (a close up from the top photo as the eagle-eyed reader will already have noticed) appear to be anxiously looking about for someone or something, particularly the grey-haired man who seems rather more keen than the others as he cranes his neck left to see over the heads of everyone in the first photo and then to the right in the close-up. He looks very concerned about something but he definitely doesn't look like he's just stepped out of a bomb blast. His face is disconcertingly familiar too.


In the words of P.D. Ouspensky:

Precisely.

London 7/7: What Time Did the Trains Leave Kings Cross

A fairly simple question and one for which the answer is proving to be a little difficult to track down.

To further simplify and clarify the nature of the question regarding 7 July and quoting from the newly formed blog of Bridget Dunne, The Mysterious Case Of The Non-Existent Train Time:

"Simply, what times did the trains leave Kings Cross that morning?

You might think this was too obvious a question and that the answer would be easily available. But, no! It would appear to be totally absent from any newspaper or website, including that of the Metropolitan Police."

In fact, it's not just the Metropolitan Police, who don't display the times that the trains left Kings Cross, nor do the British Transport Police, TFL, Metronet or any of the media organisations 'responsible' for reporting such things.

Furthermore, any requests directed to the authorities charged with running trains or buses on the day, or those tasked with investigating what occurred since, seem to meet with curious placatory rebuttals along with diversionary pointers to published timetables.

Responses from various organisations regarding train times have been brought to the attention of The Antagonist, all of which rather defy The Antagonist's sense of reason for the for the way in which they dismiss perhaps the single most important fact of the day, the times that each of the blast trains left Kings Cross.

The Metropolitan Police response to a request for the times that the trains left Kings Cross on 7 July stated:

Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within the MPS to locate information relevant to your request.

DECISION

The information requested falls under a MPS 'normal business process' and is therefore unavailable under the Act.

REASON FOR DECISION

Section 21 of the Act provides:

(1) Information which is reasonably accessible to the applicant otherwise than under section 1 is exempt information.

The information you have requested is 'reasonably accessible' elsewhere on Transport for London Site.

What great detective work by the Metropolitan Police! We can all rest assured that our tax money isn't going to waste and that truth and justice is what we're paying for. But that's not quite the whole story.

The Metropolitan Police state the times that the trains left Kings Cross on 7 July are available from the TFL web site. In fact, that statement is not true which, perhaps, would make it a lie in the eyes of some, especially given that anyone can scour the TFL web site for the times at which the trains left Kings Cross on 7 July and turn up precisely nothing in the way of an answer.

You can find the scheduled train times on the TFL web site (all commuters know trains stick rigidly to these timetables every day, never mind when bombs are going off) but, as has become very apparent since the events of 7/7, the scheduled train times are of little or no significance owing to the fact that the Underground was suffering from many delays that morning, some of which were significantly in advance of any bombs going off, and all of which provide numerous avenues for further independent investigation in and of themselves.

So, the scheduled timetables are of no use to anyone at all whether they be the police, eye-witnesses, or anyone with an interest in understanding quite what occurred that fateful day, yet the Metropolitan Police is expecting to get away with referring any queries about 7/7 train departure times to timetables we know to be utterly useless.

How great is Freedom of Information Act? The Antagonist believes that this act might be more appropriately named the Freedom of Useless Information Act if the MPS' interpretation of Freedom of Information is any indication of its outstanding benefit to society.

Seven weeks after 7/7 and the times at which the trains left Kings Cross station are apparently a very closely guarded secret.

Why won't the Metropolitan Police Service, or the British Transport Police or TFL or MetroNet disclose the times that the trains left Kings Cross station on 7 July? Perhaps the stories that have been conconcted about events of the day would fall apart if we were privy to the times that the trains left Kings Cross? Or, perhaps they wouldn't.

Either way, the times at which the trains left Kings Cross is a vital bit of information in understanding what happened. The ongoing secrecy surrounding the times that the trains left Kings Cross by all parties involved - some seven weeks after 7/7 - should act as significant warning to everyone that the London bombings of 7 July 2005 are most definitely not quite as they were reported to be.

London 7/7: Metropolitan Police Timestamp Discrepancies

Anyone know anything about the science of forensics and the importance of correctly timestamping evidence and data?

It seems like the Metropolitan Police aren't too hot on this sort of thing as couple of screenshots from the Metropolitan Police web site 7/7 Archive show.

Notice in the first screenshot the date and time of the top link 'Police investigation continues into the 7/7 bombings (16/07/05)'.



However, the timestamp on the article page is not 16/07/05 but instead 18 July 2005.


What did the original 16 July article say? What changed in the two days between the published archive date of 16 July and the date on the article of 18 July? Might the original article have contained information about the ever-so-elusive times that the trains left Kings Cross on the morning of 7 July, 2005?

Anyone have an archived copy of the original statement?

London Blasts: A fact emerges

In a slightly misleading headline that purported to bring readers of the Independent the truth about events of 7 and 21 July, Saturday's Independent ran with the following headline and story:

London bombings: the truth emerges

The suicide cell that killed 52 people on 7 July is not linked to those alleged to be behind the second London attacks on 21 July, according to the initial findings of the biggest anti-terrorist investigation held in Britain.

An investigation into the four suicide bombers from the first attacks and the people alleged to be behind the July 21 plot has found no evidence of any al-Qa'ida "mastermind" or senior organiser. The inquiry involved MI5, MI6, the listening centre at GCHQ, and the police.

To presume that an 800 word article could even begin to explain the truth behind events in London during the month of July 2005 - despite the overtly sensationalist headline - is to insult further the memories of all those who died on 7 July.

In fact, what the headline probably meant to say was, "London bombings: a fact emerges."

The only bit of information that the Independent article offers in the form of any sort of 'truth' is the categorical statement of a total absence of any links between the the events of 7 July, which killed 56 people, and the events of 21 July, when no bombs went off and nobody died but which has since become the focus of attention for reasons that are somewhat difficult to fathom.

No Link Between 7/7 and 21/7

That there is no link between the events of 7/7 and 21/7 will come as no surprise to regular readers of The Antagonist who will be only too aware that the survivor and eye-witness accounts from the day of 7/7 support heartily MetroNet Rail's original explanation of power surges for the disasters on the Underground, as reported to all passengers on the Underground and the world's media at the time of the events.

"But wait", The Antagonist can hear you cry, "What about the Number 30 bus that exploded?"

What a very good question! And one to which you'll find the answer, and much more, in The Antagonist's round-up of the events of 7/7.

TMS sends journalists home on biggest news day of year

Journalists at more than 60 weekly newspapers were banned from going out to report on the London bombings last Thursday amid fears for their safety – even though some were as far away as Kent and Buckinghamshire.

Staff at Trinity Mirror Southern titles – including the South London Press, The Wharf, the Croydon Advertiser, the Reading Chronicle and even the Whitstable & Herne Bay Times series – received an order to come back to the office or go straight home on Thursday afternoon.

A member of staff who contacted Press Gazette said the decision "went down like a lead balloon" in newsrooms as even journalists who were on jobs unrelated to the bombing, miles from London, were recalled.

The email, which was sent to all TMS newsdesk staff at 12.22pm by edi- torial director Marc Reeves, said: "Staff safety is the NUMBER ONE priority at this time.

"Please call back into the office anyone out in the field whether on bombrelated stories or not. Alternatively, send them home if they are closer.

"For staff in the office, take a view based on local police advice whether and when to send them home.

"You must account for every member of staff under your care today."

A reporter at one of the weekly papers, who asked not to be named, said: "Even reporters covering village fetes out in the middle of nowhere had to go home.

"With some of the orders we get, it has long been believed that Trinity Mirror head honchos forget that we actually work hard to produce local newspapers, and this one just about summed it up.

"During the biggest story of the year,London TMS reporters and photographers were recalled to their offices and then sent home as their offices were shut."

A spokesman for Trinity Mirror Southern said: "Every TMS title is a weekly, and the deadlines for all but three had passed. Those that hadn't gone to press already had extensive coverage of the morning's events filed.

"Therefore, after consulting with senior editors from across TMS, the managing director and editorial director took the view that there was no immediate need for employees to be out on the streets.

"They decided the responsible course of action was to recall all field staff to their offices or to send them home."

Journalists told to refrain from covering the story, eye-witnesses and survivors prevented by police from giving television and radio interviews just moments before they were due to go on air, and still there are people who don't smell a rat.

Another 7/7 Survivor Supports MetroNet Power Surge Story

Quoting from The Antagonist's own LiveBlog of the events of 7 July 2005, and picking up on something that escaped even The Antagonist's watchful eye for rather longer than it should have done, the survivor account of Justin at pfff.co.uk:

18:47: Another eye-witness account of the Edgware Road incident citing electrical malfunction as the source of the explosions (via Nosemonkey):

The train left the tracks and started to rumble down the tunnel. It was incapable of stopping and just rolled on. A series of explosions followed as if tube electric motor after motor was exploding.

Each explosion shook the train in the air and seems to make it land at a lower point.

I fell to the ground like most people, scrunched up in a ball in minimize injury. At this point I wondered if the train would ever stop, I thought "please make it stop", but it kept going. In the end I just wished that it didn't hit something and crush. It didn't.

When the train came to a standstill people were screaming, but mainly due to panic as the carriage was rapidly filling with smoke and the smell of burning motors was giving clear clues of fire.

1. What was the train doing leaving the tracks before a series of explosions occurred? Of course, we all know it's not the first time MetroNet have derailed tube trains, so it is interesting that the train is reported as being off the rails before any explosions were heard.

2. "A series of explosions followed [the train leaving the tracks] as if tube electric motor after motor was exploding". Which is a pretty accurate description of what might occur based on MetroNet's original story of power surges.

3. "The smell of burning motors." Yet again supporting MetroNet's original power surge that the world now finds so difficult to believe.

How much more evidence supporting the original MetroNet power surge story of 7 July does anyone need before anyone dares to investigate it further?

A number of mainstream media sources are regular readers of The Antagonist's blog, yet despite the huge volume of evidence that gives lie to the notion of a terrorist attack on London, no mainstream media source has yet dared even hint that the power surge story might be true.

The Antagonist has a sneaking suspicion that the recalcitrance of the mainstream media to pick up on the original, and admittedly rather less exciting, story of yet another fatal accident on the Underground so far down the line would be to admit to the world that, for over a month now, they have done nothing other than spin lies, rumour, speculation and conjecture to create a world of hysteria into which far too many people have been led.

Then factor in to the equation that if the media did decide to pursue the incredulous notion that MetroNet were telling the truth when they announced to passengers, and the world, that there had been power surges on the Underground, not only do the media destroy their own already tarnished and practically worthless reputations, but they also take with them the rapidly diminishing credibility and reputations of the Metropolitan Police and the government that hides behind them.

It'll be a cold day in hell before that happens. Luckily, all the evidence is out there for the rest of us to decide for ourselves that something just isn't it right with the 'official' media version of events on 7 July.

The Antagonist has written extensively since the events of London 7/7 in relation to what occurred that day and in so doing has documented an alarming number of discrepancies between the 'official' story of multiple terrorist bombs going off in London and what actually appears to have happened.

On the day of 7/7, The Antagonist was intrigued by how the original story of two devastating power surges on the London Underground turned after a number of hours into one of international terrorism and set about investigating further.

The results of this investigation seem to directly contradict the 'official' stories of events and are based on nothing other than publicly available and verifiable sources of information. So, without further ado, The Antagonist presents links to the manifold 7/7-inspired musings on Anything that defies my sense of reason....

• London 7/7: How to Be Good - Part 1
- If you only read one article on this blog about the events of July 7th then, for now, make it this one. A study of the generally accepted narrative of events, the evidence to support that narrative, along with the facts about the movements of the trains on July 7th - as confirmed by independent public researchers - and how these facts relate to the generally accepted narrative.


• London 7/7: TFL, Clarke Says No to Public Inquiry
- The call for a people's inquiry into July 7th. With the government's renewed confirmation that there will be no public inquiry into 7 July comes the overpowering message to the British people, clearer than ever before - if you want any sort of inquiry, any semblance of truth and, ultimately, any justice for what happened in London on 7 July, you're going to have to do it yourself.


• London 7/7: TFL, TrackerNet Images & Evidence Removal
- Transport for London published TrackerNet schematic images that showed the movements of the bombed trains on the morning of 7 July. These images have since disappeared from the TFL image gallery even though the TFL press release which announced the publication of the images still references them. Why?


• The Dummy Dummy-Run
- CCTV footage of the alleged bombers was released and reported as being a rehearsal for the events of 7/7. Only three of alleged turned up that morning and the rest of their journey has no correlation with that reported for 7 July so what exactly were these guys rehearsing?


• London 7/7: Number 30 Bus Explosion in Tavistock Square - Photos & Questions
- The number 30 bus that exploded some 60 or so minutes after the incidents on the trains is being used to tie the whole notion of a co-ordinated terrorist attack on London. Was the exploded bus lifted from the 1,000 man anti-terrorist rehearsal operation that Peter Power admitted to organising in a Radio 5 interview on the evening of the Underground incidents?


• Another 7/7 Survivor Supports MetroNet Power Surge Story
- The Edgware Road underground train left the tracks before any bangs were heard indicating that something other than bombs caused the train to derail. And, if there were bombs on the trains, why is the description of the bangs that followed the derailing described as 'A series of explosions || as if tube electric motor after motor was exploding'?


• The 7 July Trinity Mirror Media Blackout
  
- 7 July, 2005 - The Biggest newsday of the year in the UK. So, why were "Journalists at more than 60 Staff at Trinity Mirror Southern weekly newspapers || banned from going out to report on the London bombings || even though some were as far away as Kent and Buckinghamshire"? Which other organisations were ordered to stay away?


• Blair Rejected Inquiry into 7/7
  
- Just days after the events of 7/7 and before the media circus had run entirely out of control, Blair had already refused a government inquiry into the deaths of 56 people. Why and how can this be possible given that we are being told that events of the day were the work of terrorists?


• The Number 30 Bus explosion - The Kicker
- A summary of the considerable number of anomalies about the Number 30 bus which was diverted into Tavistock Square and then exploded leaving rather too many people left standing on the top deck looking otherwise unharmed by a blast powerful enough to lift the roof clean off the bus.

- Was the only person to report Jean Charles de Menezes as wearing a 'bomb belt with wires coming out' in the employ of the Metropolitan Police?


• In Response to Bridget Dunne
- An article outlining the events of the day based solely on the facts such as they were immediately after the Number 30 bus exploded in Tavistock Square, explaining the origins of the exploded bus that ties together the whole notion of a terror attack on London.


• Peter Power Responds, So Does The Antagonist
- Peter Power, Managing Director of Visor Consultants issued a statement about the 1,000 man security rehearsal operation that he was responsible for organising on the day of 7/7 and from which it would appear that the exploded bus was lifted in order to create a story of terrorism instead of one of corporate manslaughter on the Underground.


• Three Tube Trains & One London Bus - Part Deux
- 21 July, 2005. The day when no bombs went off on any trains or buses in London and nobody was killed. The same day that is now the focus of media coverage instead of 7/7 when 56 people died.


• Visor Consultants, Fortress GB & ICTS (UK) Ltd
- Details of the transport security companies that may have been responsible for commissioning Peter Power's Visor Consultants to conduct the 1,000 person security rehearsal operation in Central London that may have occurred outside their offices in Tavistock Square, right next door to the headquarters of the British Transport Police.


• Ian Blair: "I'm not saying there are four bombers"
- Metropolitan Police Commissioner retracts a statement containing the word 'bombers', presumably because there was no evidence to support him stating that there were any bombers. And, if there was evidence to support the notion of bombers, why would he retract the statement?


• London Blasts, A Possible Explanation
- The Antagonist's original article outlining how the train incidents and the bus were always two entirely separate stories.

• Blast Survivor Discrepancies
- MetroNet originally reported that the problems on the Underground were as a result of two power surges. The eye-witness accounts of survivors of these incidents support perfectly the notion of power surges.
