State Fraud

Short and sweet, from the Beeb, what the cops get up to in the daylight hours (i.e. when they're not kicking-in your door and shooting up your family for no reason).

A detective who was an international expert on fraud has been jailed for two years after becoming involved in an $500m (£270m) attempted fraud.

Detective Sergeant William McKelvie, 44, from Esher, Surrey, was sentenced on Wednesday at Southwark Crown Court.

The court heard how McKelvie called contacts under the pretence of carrying out official police business.

He was acquitted of perverting the course of justice but convicted of three charges of misconduct.

Just one bent copper, eh? Put here to protect us, but who protects us from them?
