Sick Canard
============

Has bird flu flown one step nearer to us? Tests in France are very soon likely to confirm a dead duck there has the deadly H5N1 strain. It can't be long now before an infected bird hops across the Channel. So are we ready for it?

In France they brought even free range chickens indoors months ago. They are talking now about vaccinating the entire poultry population. While almost every dead bird is being tested. Experts here say we need to take better precautions. We can't stop the virus arriving here. We could try to prevent it form jumping from wild foul to the domestic flock by bringing them inside.

Some say it's time to do that right now before we get the virus. We are talking to the agriculture minister and asking why he has not ordered our birds indoors yet.

The Bird Flu / Iraq Civil War / Iran 'Nuclear' issue are all going to coalesce into one almighty "Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ate my Iraqi Nuclear Duck" story, round about the 3rd week in March 2006.

Be prepared.....

Like I was saying...

From here

The Laboratoire européen d’Anticipation Politique Europe 2020, LEAP/E2020, now estimates to over 80% the probability that the week of March 20-26, 2006 will be the beginning of the most significant political crisis the world has known since the Fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989, together with an economic and financial crisis of a scope comparable with that of 1929. This last week of March 2006 will be the turning-point of a number of critical developments, resulting in an acceleration of all the factors leading to a major crisis, disregard any American or Israeli military intervention against Iran. In case such an intervention is conducted, the probability of a major crisis to start rises up to 100%, according to LEAP/E2020.

An Alarm based on 2 verifiable events

The announcement of this crisis results from the analysis of decisions taken by the two key-actors of the main on-going international crisis, i.e. the United States and Iran:

- on the one hand there is the Iranian decision of opening the first oil bourse priced in Euros on March 20th, 2006 in Teheran, available to all oil producers of the region;

- on the other hand, there is the decision of the American Federal Reserve to stop publishing M3 figures (the most reliable indicator on the amount of dollars circulating in the world) from March 23, 2006 onward.

These two decisions constitute altogether the indicators, the causes and the consequences of the historical transition in progress between the order created after World War II and the new international equilibrium in gestation since the collapse of the USSR. Their magnitude as much as their simultaneity will catalyse all the tensions, weaknesses and imbalances accumulated since more than a decade throughout the international system.

Conflict: War of Iraq
Date: March 20, 2003–May 1, 2003 [major combat] (Occupation end: June 28, 2004)

Three years after an illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq based on lies and fabrications, the same un-prosecuted war criminals are lording it up on the world's stage, lying some more, and only the last letter of the target country has changed.

Mars marches on and still not a rumble from the great unwashed masses. Quoting Jultra:

"....it's not radical Islam, who have spent a quarter of a billion pounds on CCTV, and now want to record your car journey and track you by your face on a government database, it isn't radical Islam who are putting you into slavery with RFID'ed ID cards, are uploading your medical records to a government database, stockpiling your DNA and parading your children on ASBO TV for all to see. It isn't radical Islam who are hacking away at the law and the very democracy you live in, taking you into unrelenting slavery of a kind never seen on this planet before. Similarly, it isn't radical Islam propagandizing human chipping stories the day after the Brown-idolatrizing ID cards vote in parliament, or making sponsored-speeches about biometrics in supermarkets. And it isn't radical Islam sending British forces to their deaths on the back of old student essays plucked off the internet about Iraq."

Maybe that little lot, the Civil Contingencies Act and the Parliamentary Reform Bill might be sufficient to wake the rest of the slumbering sheeple to do something more useful than write yet more letters to a bunch of people who have repeatedly proved they don't give a toss, and who will soon be even more useless than they already are?

And, under the heading of 'The Abolition of Democracy', Leninology has this:

"They're really trying it on, this government. Terrorism Acts left, right and centre, detention without trial, suspension of habeus corpus, ASBOs, ID cards, withdrawal of juries from certain court cases, refugee-bashing, protesters nicked for wearing t-shirts that contain "anti-Blair info", police murder with impunity, and now the reduction of parliament to a Rubber Stamp. Presumably, this is the government readying itself for Anarchy. You can't do to people what successive governments in this country have done for decades without some kind of backlash. You can't batter the trade unions, make people work longer, and harder, for less, sell of property that belongs to the public, squander taxpayers money and send young men off on imperialist adventures without somebody doing something about it. Hence: a law that legalises everything, from - say - banning strikes to pointing guns at protesters.

Bird flu spreads to Iran's World Cup training camp site in Germany

"A senior German politician warned earlier that the 2006 World Cup could be called off, if there is a bird flu pandemic in Germany."

Or a War of Civilization in the Middle East....
